Cirtek registered net profit of $4.7m in ’13

Cirtek Holdings Philippines Corp., a Laguna-based independent semiconductor assembly and test company, said it posted a net income of $4.7 million in 2013, up 7 percent from $4.4 million in 2012.

Cirtek said in a statement consolidated revenue in 2013 increased 8 percent to $44 million from $40.6 million in 2012.

Gross margin remained steady at 13 percent in 2013, as the company carried out comprehensive cost reduction measures to cope with the rise in raw material prices, power rates and salaries.

The company expects core business in 2014 to rise between 8 and 10 percent and revenues from new products and projects and potential acquisitions to contribute an additional 5 to 8 percent.

The company is currently exploring a joint venture with a major Japanese company for the production of LED back-lighting to be used in consumer electronic devices.

Cirtek is an independent complete solution provider for the subcontract manufacturing of semiconductor devices with 29 years of experience in the assembly and testing segment.

It provides turnkey solutions that include package design and development, wafer probing, wafer back grinding, assembly and packaging, final testing of semiconductor devices, and delivery and shipment to customers’ end users.
